Valdeorras Godello, A. Coroa 2023

In the last two decades since the López Vicente family decided to take their fourth-generation Valdeorras winegrowing know-how to the next level of quality, their Adega A Coroa has risen into the top ranks of the appellation. The delicious and classic estate Godello is selected from various parcels, all planted to relatively mature vines (35 years is on the older side, given the relatively recent renaissance of Godello!) on gentle slopes of broken pizarra (slate) and hand-harvested.

From 5 unique parcels of mostly slate and granite soil, much care is taken in the farming and wine making at this small estate. The wine spends up to 5 months on the lees and is extra ripe and full of leesy honey and green apple notes.
