Emrich -Schonleber 'Lenz' Riesling 2021

Emrich Schönleber 'Lenz' Riesling is a feather-light Riesling that smells of green apple, peach and lime. There is also a little 'gout de petrôle' in the nose. The taste is very fresh, clean and juicy with a minimal sweetness. The wine stays long and tingly fresh. Lenz means Spring and this wine lives up to its name.

The Schönleber family has been in viticulture for 250 years. At the end of the 1960s, the first vineyards (2ha.) came into their own possession. In 1997, Werner and Frank Schönleber decided to only market Riesling wines from the best plots. The grapes come from 2 Grand Cru vineyards, Monzinger Halenberg and Monzinger Frühlingsplätzchen. Both vineyards have a slope of around 70°, are oriented to the south and also produce the Grosses Gewächs wines. The area has now been expanded to 20 ha. Since 2001, all wines are marketed under their own label.
