Negroamaro is a wine grape indigenous to the Apulia (Puglia) region of Italy. Known for deep hued, full bodied wines with medium tannins and acid. These wines are often a steal on the American market.

Masserie Pizari is in the “heel” of Italy in southern Salento, between Gallipoli and Leuca, in the Feudo d’Ugento (the ancient “Ozan”) in an area where Negroamaro and Primitivo vines have been grown for centuries.

Fruit coming from old vine sustainable vineyard (planted in 1960). Indigenous yeast fermentation in stainless steel. Aged 12 months before resting in bottle for another 5.

Beautiful, lush with a touch of bay leave and rustic tannin.
